NADL Wins Award

NADL won Association of the Year from the Tallahassee (Fla.) Society of Association Executives in October. NADL Co-Executive Director Ricki Braswell, CAE, nominated the association for the award and Heather Erato and Keith Segundo authored the accompanying awards application with Braswell.

NADL was highlighted largely for coordinating the Hurricane Katrina Relief Effort focusing on how quickly funds were raised from member laboratories, industry suppliers and individuals and funds were dispersed back out to those in need within the first few days after Katrina hit impacted areas. NADL wants to thank all of our national and state association leaders who helped raise the necessary funds to be able to assist members and non members in need. A special thanks to Louisiana Dental Laboratory Association Executive Director Wanda Hincher, CDT, who helped get the ball rolling for NADL to launch this effort and to Richard Harrell, CDT, who personally raised more than $50,000.00 through supplier commitments within the first three days of the effort. This is a proud moment in the light of the tough times that many of our association members and their families faced and are still recovering from today.
