DENTSPLY Prosthetics Hosts Parkway Dental Lab for 3Shape Training Class

Parkway Dental Lab members, Richard Brewer, Owner, CDT and Henry Solis, CDT, joined DENTSPLY Prosthetics (York, Pa.) for a two-day, 3Shape Training course that covered an introduction to the scanner, its features, and its capabilities.  Parkway Dental Lab has purchased a 3Shape scanner “. . . to meet the demand for high-precision, perfect-fitting crown and bridge restorations.”

3Shape has partnered with DENTSPLY to sell the system in support of their SmartSourcing™ CAD/CAM milling services.  The 3Shape open scanner produces .stl files that can be sent in-lab to the DENTSPLY Cercon® brain expert milling machine or to  DENTSPLY Compartis® for precious metal or zirconia substructures.

DENTSPLY Prosthetics 3Shape technical training is a value-added support offered to customers with their purchase.  In addition to understanding foundational material, Parkway members joined a hands-on session to learn how to drive the 3Shape’s “Live Case” functionality.   The program culminated with tours of the DENTSPLY Compartis® USA manufacturing facility, Trubyte® Tooth production area and the Prosthetics Museum.
