NADL Supports Repeal of the Medical Device Excise Tax

The federal Protect Medical Innovation Act filed both in the House and Senate for 2013 is expected to include provisions to repeal the medical device excise tax.  NADL continues to support the repeal of the medical device excise tax or alternatively including an exemption for dental devices.

Handling an FDA Inspection

Most likely the most dreaded call that an owner of an establishment regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) can receive is the notice that an inspector will be visiting the facility on a certain date.  At least in the event of a call like that, you have an advance warning – usually no more than five days (and weekends count in the days).  However, the inspector may just show up at your door so the best action is to be prepared.
