For the past eight years I have been actively involved independently monitoring the condition of U.S. dental technology education programs and demographics of the dental technology workforce from the point of view of practicing dentist who depends up dental technicians daily. I have been active in supporting the dental technicians who are very important members of the team that provides our patients with dental care.

Burney M. Croll, DDS

Burney Croll, a 1968 SUNY at Buffalo dental alumnus, completed a two-year prosthodontic program at Tufts University in 1972. He enjoys private prosthodontic practice in New York City, where he is dedicated to providing quality care for his patients. He is executive director of the Dental Laboratory Summit Council. He directs a full laboratory on the premises which includes ceramists and technicians. Croll has been a guest lecturer in the postgraduate prosthodontic programs at Columbia University, New York University, and at the University of Pennsylvania. He has provided continuing education internationally. He is a member of the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics, the Northeast Gnathologic Society, and the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, the Academy of Osseointegration, and the American College of Prosthodontists. He is an active member of the Advisory Board to the Department of Restorative Dentistry at New York City College of Technology.

Prior to founding SafeLink Consulting, Borg held senior level management positions in mortgage banking, banking and the family entertainment business. Her positions included responsibility for facilities management, human resources, risk management, crisis and disaster recovery and health and safety.

McLees Wins ADA Award

Jim McLees, CDT, NADL's appointed representative to the ADA Standards Committee on Dental Informatics was presented with the ADA's Dental Informatics Volunteer Service Award at ADA Headquarters. McLees has served as NADL's representative in this position since 1999.
