The Most Interesting People

The Most Interesting People

A recent Time Magazine cover featured the 100 most influential people in the world. It got me to thinking of who the most influential people in dentistry or the lab profession would be?

Who might you choose for dentistry? Dr.  L .D. Pankey, Dr. Frank Spear, Bob Ganley of Ivoclar, Dr. Gordon Christenson, Dr. Bill Dickerson of LVI, Dr. Peter Dawson, Dr. John Kois, Dr. G.V. Black?

What about the laboratory profession?

Interesting enough to take a straw poll?

Email me at mtmurphydds@gmail.com with your list of top 3, 5 or up to 10 most influential dental lab professionals. I will publish the list next month in my column.

Although I don't want to bias anyone's choices, my top three are:

  1. Peter Stein (for bringing profitability and business management to the lab profession)
  2. Bennet Napier (with help of course) for resurrecting a challenged NADL and championing our issues.
  3. Jim Glidewell CDT for obvious reasons.

Who are your choices?
